Gaehwa Tunnel connects Seoul with Incheon. It is located at Gaehwa Mountain. This tunnel was constructed through NATM(New Austrian Tunnelling Method), considered most appropriate for the geographical conditions of the Gaehwa Mountain. The length of tunnel is 634.5m.
Gawhwa Tunnel, which penetrates 128.4m Gaehwa Mountain is the only tunnel along the Incheon International Airport Expressway and is expected to handle 80% of the traffic of the Inchon International Airport.
